In 1985, EFP was purchased by John B. Poindexter and remains a part of the John B. Poindexter Group of companies. John B. Poindexter is a privately held diversified group of manufacturing companies headquartered in Houston, Texas. |
Today the Poindexter Goup of Companies is made up of 3000 employees in 30 facilities located throughout the United States. Sales for the group are in the $500,000,000 range.

The J.B. Poindexter group of companies is made up of three groups:
1) Truck Bodies. Morgan Corp is the largest U.S. manufacturer of Class 3 to 7 truck bodies.
2) Truck Accessories Group.
The largest manufacturer of pick-up truck bed enclosures such as truck caps and tonneau covers. The subsidiaries include Leer, Century and Raider. Also headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana.
3) Specialty Manufacturing Group. This includes MIC and Universal Brixius, manufacturers of high precision contract machining companies and EFP Corporation who manufactures EPS, EPP and EPE foam packaging and components.
