EFP began manufacturing foam door cores at its Elkhart, Indiana facility for the market leader in the supply of doors to the recreational vehicle (RV) industry. EFP has manufactured similar door cores at its Decatur, Alabama facility since 1995 for the manufactured housing sector.
EFP utilizes its patented process for these products to provide airtight seals of foam molded into steel stiles to prevent moisture damage and give stronger structural integrity as advantages versus alternative methods that use cut foam with wood frames. EFP plans to manufacture door cores for other sectors in Elkhart as well.
